License plate application

Your moped must first be inspected by the RDW. They look at the technical condition and check whether the moped meets the rules for driving on public roads. To take your moped to the inspection appointment, you can apply for a one-day registration plate. This allows you to drive to the inspection location on the day of the inspection. You can apply for a one-day registration plate here. After the inspection the RDW will send you a registration card by mail within 5 working days. One working day later they will send a letter with the registration code. Once you have received all documents, all vehicle obligations apply from that moment.
